Proposal 3: Courses open for practice before the race [ Revision 1 ]

Committee: Muni (including Cyclocross)
Submitted on 2016-11-17
Status: Failed on December 08, 2016

Background

The current rule 5D.5 covers two situations: the course is open for practice for 7+ days or zero days before the event. It is unclear what happens in between, for instance, open training for 3 days before the race. The suggested simple change covers all possible situations.

Proposal

OLD 5D.5

"If the course is open for practice to all riders for at least 7 days leading up to the event, then there are no restrictions on who can compete. If the course is not open for practice until the day of the event, then anyone who has pre-ridden the course is not allowed to compete."

NEW 5D.5

"If the course is open for practice to all riders for at least 7 days leading up to the event, then there are no restrictions on who can compete. If the course is open for practice 6 or fewer days leading up to the event, then anyone who has pre-ridden the course is not allowed to compete."
